• Does my car need paint correction before a coating?+
  In most cases yes. A coating locks in whatever finish is underneath it, so if swirl marks or defects are present before coating, they'll remain visible afterwards. We assess every vehicle before starting and recommend correction where needed. Correct first, protect second.
• What's the difference between CSL and CSU?+
  Both are professional-grade Gtechniq ceramic coatings. CSU offers a sharper finish, stronger chemical resistance, better scratch and UV protection and a longer warranty than CSL. For most customers CSL delivers excellent results. For those wanting the best available, CSU is the upgrade worth making.
• How long does a ceramic coating last?+
  CSL is backed by a 5 year manufacturer warranty and CSU by 9 years. With proper maintenance washing, your coating will perform throughout that period and often beyond.
• Can I get a coating on an older car?+
  Absolutely. Age doesn't disqualify a vehicle, condition does. As long as the paint is in reasonable shape or has been corrected, a ceramic coating will deliver excellent results regardless of the car's age.
• How long does the coating process take?+
  Most appointments take one to two days depending on whether paint correction is required beforehand. We'll give you a clear timeframe when you book.
• Will a ceramic coating prevent scratches?+
  A coating adds hardness and chemical resistance to your paint but it is not scratch proof. It resists light swirling from washing and minor abrasions but significant scratches can still occur. The coating protects the paint underneath — that's the point of it.
• How do I maintain a ceramic coated car?+
  Regular maintenance washes using a pH neutral shampoo and proper two-bucket wash technique. Avoid automatic car washes, harsh chemicals and abrasive cloths. We provide full aftercare guidance when your coating is applied.
• Is accreditation important when choosing an installer?+
  Yes. Products like Gtechniq CSL and CSU are only covered by their manufacturer warranty when applied by an accredited installer. We are fully accredited with Gtechniq which means your warranty is valid and the product has been applied to manufacturer standards.
• What is the EXOv5 finishing layer?+
  EXOv5 is a Gtechniq finishing layer applied over CSL or CSU. It adds an ultra-glossy slick finish and significantly boosts hydrophobic performance — meaning water beads and sheets off the paint even more aggressively, making maintenance washing even easier.
