AG Formula 1051 — Liquid PPF
AG Formula 1051 is a new generation liquid-applied paint protection coating developed by Avant Guard. It sits in the middle ground between a traditional ceramic coating and full PPF film, offering a significant step up in protection without the cost of true film. Think of it as paint protection film — but applied as a liquid.
Unlike a standard ceramic, the 1051 chemically bonds to your clear coat and actually builds measurable thickness — around 8 to 15 microns per layer. It self-heals, resists serious abrasion, and delivers mirror-level gloss that has to be seen to be believed. It is also safe for newly painted vehicles.

One of the things that sets the 1051 apart is its versatility. You can apply PPF film over the top of it, or a ceramic coating over the top — meaning it works as a standalone solution or as a foundation for even greater protection down the track.

For most Sunshine Coast drivers, the AG Formula 1051 is the smarter investment. The UV resistance alone is critical up here — 2,000 hours of tested protection against the kind of sun that strips unprotected paint in a few years. Add the self-healing, the gloss, and the 10-year rating, and it's hard to argue with.
If you're keeping a prestige vehicle long-term and want maximum physical protection against rock chips on the highway, full PPF is still worth considering — and we can take care of that too. But for the majority of vehicles, the 1051 delivers exceptional results at a fraction of the cost.
