What a Cut and Polish Will Do For Your Car

If your car looks flat, dull or just needs a proper freshen up, our cut and polish service is one of the most straightforward ways to bring it back. It's a lighter, single-stage machine polish designed to improve gloss, remove surface dullness and leave your car looking noticeably cleaner and brighter. It's not a full paint correction — it's a gloss refresh.

  • Restores gloss and brightness to dull, flat paint
  • Removes mild surface haze and oxidation
  • Improves the overall presentation of your vehicle
  • Gives older or neglected paint a genuine refresh
  • Prepares the surface for wax, sealant or coating protection
  • Makes your car look properly maintained without a full correction

For everyday car owners who want a genuine improvement without the full correction process — this is the right starting point. If your paint has more significant swirl marks or scratching, we'll let you know whether a full correction would serve you better.

What's Involved

Our cut and polish service starts with a thorough wash and surface decontamination — removing dirt, iron fallout and bonded contaminants before any machine work begins. We then perform a controlled single-stage machine polish using a light to medium compound to improve gloss and surface clarity.

It's a lighter process than our paint correction services, using less aggressive products and techniques. The goal is a cleaner, brighter finish — not maximum defect removal. To finish, a protective layer is applied to enhance gloss and provide short-term protection following the service.

Not sure whether you need a cut and polish or a paint correction? We're happy to take a look and give you an honest recommendation — no obligation, no pressure.

If your paint has heavy swirl marks or scratching, correction will deliver better results.
  • If your paint looks dull, faded or flat but doesn't have heavy swirl marks or scratches, a cut and polish is likely the right fit. If you're seeing significant swirling in sunlight or deeper surface marks, we'd recommend looking at our paint correction options. We're happy to advise.
  • It can improve very light surface marks, but it's not designed for significant scratch removal. For that, a single or multi-stage paint correction is the more appropriate service.
  • Yes. We use appropriate compounds for the job and work in a controlled way. A lighter polish done correctly won't compromise your clear coat.
  • Most vehicles are completed within a day depending on size and condition.
  • With good washing habits, the results will hold well. Pairing it with a ceramic or graphene coating significantly extends the life of the finish.
  • Yes — older vehicles often respond really well. It's one of the most cost-effective ways to improve how a car looks and presents.
  • Yes. It's a great way to prepare the surface before protection is applied. For vehicles with more noticeable defects, we may recommend a correction first to get the most out of your coating investment.
